2014 Year in Review
Earlier this month, I visited Maui for the first time to attend a conference put on by Hawaii Life Realty (yes, the ones with their own show on HGTV!) I was looking for some out-of-the-box inspiration, but also a chance to reflect and set some goals for the coming year. I came back reminded what an awesome year it has been — and with some big goals for 2015! A huge thank you to my clients and my real estate friends who made these possible.
INMAN CONNECT NYC
In January I attended Inman Connect in NYC. That place just makes me feel alive! In addition to the keynote from Ariana Huffington, other highlights included spending time with some of my favorite industry friends — these are people making big waves in the industry! I came back from that event more fired up than ever to step up my game and help make our industry better.
LAUNCHING A NEW WEBSITE
That same month I also rolled out a new website, with a responsive design (meaning it looks the same on your laptop as it does on your phone) and a greater focus on neighborhood photos and videos. It’s a work in progress, but I’ve had a ton of great feedback, and would love for you to check it out HERE.
PRESENTING AT AGENT REBOOT
Earlier this year I had a chance to give a presentation with my great friend (and frequent collaborator) Marguerite Giguere at Agent Reboot in Seattle. The topic was Video Marketing, something we both really believe in — and a craft we are constantly trying to improve upon. It was rewarding to hear from attendees and see them put our tips into use after the event! You can watch some of our videos here.
AGENT CAFFEINE In June, Marguerite and I were also interviewed by the Kelly Mitchell for her weekly podcast, Agent Caffeine. I love Kelly’s show, and you can watch it HERE, along with a ton of other great interviews, or you can also catch it as a podcast on iTunes.

SPEAKING AT ICSF
July brought my 4th annual pilgrimage to San Francisco, for Real Estate Connect. In addition to serving as an Ambassador for the event, I was thrilled to be on a panel about Video Production, moderated by Raj Qsar (The Boutique RE Group). Raj’s work definitely inspires me…check out some of his company’s incredible videos HERE.
INSTAGRAM
In September I hit my 1,000th Instagram follower (you can find my profile HERE). Thanks to my buddy Rachel (@andthenshesnapped) for the assist that got me over the hump. If you’ve never tried it, Instagram is a photo sharing site, and has been such a fun place to connect with Tacoma lovers from across the country.
REMAGAZINE
October brought a really fun milestone: I was featured on the cover of Washington Realtor’s quarterly publication, REMagazine. The conversation was about not being afraid to be yourself in your professional life, and also highlighted some of the incredible people I’ve collaborated with during my six years in real estate. In November, Marguerite and I were some of the Realtors featured in Jay Baer’s new e-book, Youtility for Real Estate, which highlights real life success stories of agents who are using their marketing efforts to help their clients. You can download the book HERE on Amazon.
